Saving Money in Meals when you travel Korea #TIPS

Hello Everybody!!
I am Harriet (you can call me Harry).
So I am Harry but I am a girl and I'm not a Harry Potter fan.
I am a new staff in Leo guesthouse!

Today I will give you some TIPS about
"how to save your food expenses" while traveling Korea.

Actually there are a lot of foods you must try when you are in Korea.
Most of my foreign friends say that the best thing about Korea is FOOD.
But maybe trying all of them will cost too much
and sometimes you might want a small or a simple meal.
So here are some cheap and light foods you can get easily!!

1. Convenience Store

There are convenience stores everywhere in Korea.
The three largest convenience stores are 7Eleven, CU, and GS25.

You can buy some cheap foods like ramyeon, kimbap, sandwiches, etc.

This is Cup RAMYEON(Ramen).
You can eat these noodles anywhere if you have hot water.
You can also cook and eat ramyeon in the convenience store.
900~1500won (about 1~1.5$) for 1 cup ramyeon.

This is KIMBAP.
Basically it is made with rice ('Bap' in Korean) and seaweed ('Kim' in Korean).
And inside the rice there is pork, beef, chicken, tuna, salmon, etc.
You can choose!!
My favorite is tuna+ham mayonnaise kimbap^^
900~1500won (about 1~1.5$) for 1 kimbap.
Usually I eat two of those triangle ones for one meal.

You can also buy sandwiches in the convenience store.
1300~2000won (about 1.5~2$) for 1 pack.
There are 2~4 pieces in 1 pack.

2. Fast Food Restaurants

Some burgers that are in promotion are only 2000won(2$) in McDonalds.
In McDonalds and Lotteria, you can get about 2000won discount at lunch time(~14:00).
And the cheapest burger combo at lunch will be 3000won(3$).
There are many promotions in every fastfood restaurants, so check it out!

3. Bakery

These two bakeries, Paris Baguette and Tous les Jours
are the biggest franchise bakeries in Korea.
You can find those bakeries everywhere, especially in Seoul.
My french friends say that Tous les Jours is better than Paris Baguette.
Almost every breads are about 1000~2000won(1~2$).

So these are the three places I usually go to get some foods
when I do not have enough money or when I do not have enough time to eat.

Hope you have a nice time in Korea!
